The other day I bought a boneless chuck roast on sale. I had it cut into stew meat. I divided the stew meat into 1/2 pound packages because there is only my husband and myself. I was in a hurry one day so I put the defrosted meat into my crockpot and topped it with a cup and a half of thick and chunky salsa.
It cooked on low for about 6 hours while I was at work. That night for dinner, I used a slotted spoon to dip out the most wonderful smelling and tasting meat. I rolled it into a tortilla (Mission carb balance whole wheat~my husband is a diabetic) and served it with a salad and hot veggie. My husband rated it a Keeper! This made us two meals and our granddaughter (age 7) loved it too.
