I have created a space-saver that's also proven to be a money saver for our family. When I'm packing away all of the holiday's decorations, I also pack into those holiday boxes whatever clothes will still work for next year, including any clearance items that I might pick up during post-holiday shopping.
By doing this, my kids' holiday shirts and dresses (particularly the hand-me-downs) don't take up closet space all year and I don't forget that I already have plenty of cute clothes for the kids.
Each year, when I pull out the decorations, I also pull out a whole set of holiday clothes without having to search for them and wonder where they ended up.
Simple, but effective!
