Here's a tip for making homemade air fresheners.

Instead of using expensive air fresheners or deodorizers, I buy a $3 bottle of liquid potpourri and cover the bottom of a small round fish bowl.
When the "air freshener" is almost all evaporated just put a little more in. One bottle used with one bowl will deodorize my bathroom for a year, which is way longer than the commercial products.
Note: Keep out of reach of small children and pets.
