"Everyone in the Car, Let's Get the Tree!"
Hi Michelle, if you are like our family, we really get excited when it is time to get the Christmas tree. We don't have the pleasure of cutting down our own, but we do pick one as a family at the local hardware store, and yes, tie it down on top of the car! This ornament reminds me of that important tradition. I have added snow, also known as glitter, to the ornament even though it was 80 degrees in California when we got our tree.
Materials:
1 toy car- pick to replicate your family car or a car you wish you owned!
1 -2" tree- I removed the stand and tucked under the wire.
1-18" piece of string-I used bakers twine
Glitter or white paint for snow if you like
White glue
Instructions:
Tie tree to top of car or truck using twine. Secure with knot.
Hang ornament on tree to see if car stays level, you may have to change placement of tie.
Remove ornament from tree to finish. Double tie a bow.
With the white glue, dab a bit on car and tree, then cover with glitter.
Hang ornament with hook at the bow.
