Denim baby bibs

Here's a cute craft for homemade baby bibs, out of scrap denim. Great for baby shower gifts!

Items needed for this project:

Denim scraps
Scissors
Sewing machine
Thread
Sewing needle
Batting
Contrasting fabrics (for back of bib and embellishments)
Velcro
Freezer paper

Instructions:

Fold a piece of paper in half and cut the desired shape of your baby bib. Once you've made your pattern, trace it onto freezer paper. Pin your pattern or trace the pattern onto denim and cut out 1 piece for each baby bib desired. Cut one piece from contrasting fabric for the back of the bib.

Cut one bib from batting if desired. Cut circles out of contrasting fabric for embellishments. Before sewing front of bib to back of bib, applique your circles as desired to the denim front of bib.

Sew front of bib to the back of bib, leaving a hole for turning. I left the batting out of the bib, but if you're adding batting, pin it sandwich style before sewing front to back.

These bibs are also reversible.

Turn and sew closed. Attach Velcro pieces to the ends of the bibs with sewing thread.
