"Vintage Love Ornaments"
This ornament I made from a vintage aluminum Stanley Home coaster. My grandmother had tons of these and I always loved them so I decided there had to be something I could make!
My inspiration actually came when I saw an old pie safe. They look so pretty when the tree lights shine through the design and they add color and shine to your Christmas tree!
Materials:
Stanley Home coasters (easily found at thrift stores and Ebay)
Crafters rubber mat
An awl and hammer
A cookie cutter in a fun shape (i.e. heart, Christmas tree, candy cane, star)
Marker
Steps:
Center cookie cutter in the coaster and mark dots evenly spaced around cutter (any marker left on the coaster can be easily wiped off with alcohol).
Using awl and hammer, make holes through coaster.
Make one additional hole at top center to thread a piece of ribbon or an ornament hook through.
