I used half of a milkweed pod for this ornament. I painted it inside and out with clear nail polish to strengthen it.
I then painted a coat of clear glitter nail polish on the inside to add a bit of sparkle. I use glitter nail polish instead of regular glitter because it just gives a light coverage instead of lots of glitter.
I glued in some red plastic berries and some real miniature cones harvested from a hemlock tree in the park near our house.
I finished the ornament by running a silver glitter glue pen around the edges to add more sparkle.
