"Lynn's Rose Angels"
These "Rose Angels" are adorable and very easy to make. I used some to decorate my Christmas tree, Christmas packages and also gave some as gifts! They also make great gifts for teachers, grandparents, aunties, etc. and the decorating possibilities are endless!
Supplies:
Silk rose (these usually come 12 on bush and can be purchased at most craft stores/Dollar stores)
Wooden craft ball knob with hole (1 or 1.5-inch diameter)
Small bottle of flesh tone paint
Ribbon or fabric scraps
Wax paper
Gold or silver cord
Puffed Angel wings (or leaves from rose bush can be used as wings)
Gold bands (the kind used for wedding programs)
Gold or silver glitter glue
Hot glue gun/glue sticks
Scissors or wire cutters
Fine point black marker (to draw face if desired)
Instructions:
Paint the wooden craft ball(s) with flesh tone paint and allow to dry on wax paper for 5 minutes.
Clip the roses from the bush, leaving about 1” of the stem.
Drip some glue into the opening of the wooden craft ball and insert it on the rose stem.
Cut a small strip of ribbon or scrap fabric to go around the neck (between the knob and the top of the rose), glue ends together.
Cut a strip of cord, loop to make a hanger and glue on back of rose, near head.
Glue puffed Angel wings on back, covering cord/hanger.
Glue gold ban on head for halo.
Draw face if desired.
NOTE: If the roses have the plastic stems similar to the pink and purple ones in the picture, you can use glitter glue for hi-lights!)
