"Pie Plate Ornaments"
I had a great time making these cute Christmas ornaments they will add another personal touch to our family tree. I also made Banana bread and added these to the top with the ribbon. Our friends loved them.
Craft Materials:
Aluminum pie plate - these you can find at dollar tree very cheap
Cookie cutters
Scissors
Chopstick or wooden spoon
Acrylic jewels - these you can find at Wal-Mart
Sequins - these you can find at Wal-Mart or hobby lobby
Craft ribbon or Paper clips - these you can find at dollar tree very cheap
Glue dots - these you can find at Walmart or hobby lobby
Directions:
1. For each ornament, trace a cookie cutter onto an aluminum pie plate.
2. Cut out the ornament, then use a chopstick or the end of a wooden spoon to emboss a swirl pattern onto the aluminum. Add decorations, such as ribbon, acrylic jewels, and sequins adhered with glue dots.
3. Finally place hole at the top with a small craft hole punch and use a large paper clip as the hanger or simply threaded different colored ribbons through for a hanger.
