Frugal Holiday Crafts: Naturally Dyed Easter Eggs

by Michelle Jones

Easter Egg Natural Dye Colors

If your family likes to decorate eggs for Easter why not try making some natural colors with items from your own kitchen?  The color results will be softer than the egg dye kits you buy at the store and quite beautiful!

Here's the official egg dying color list from the American Egg Board with type colors and chart design by me. We hope you find it helpful!

Easter egg natural dye color chart

Please note: The above chart colors are for illustration. Actual egg colors will depend on the type of dye material used and how long the eggs are submersed in the natural coloring. The longer you leave the eggs in the dye the deeper the color will be.

However you choose to color your Easter eggs, have fun, and remember the reason for the season!
